Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the AI version of SEO. Instead of ranking a list of links, tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers write a reply and sometimes name businesses in it. They do that by reading websites, reviews and listings. GEO is making sure what they read about you is clear, accurate and easy to find.
